Calke Abbey Bluebell Ramble
Overview
Note: Due to group restrictions with parking at Calke Abbey this walk will now start at Staunton Harold Reservoir with a slightly earlier start time of 11am
A lovely ramble with Steve Dell. This 5.5 mile ramble will explore the Calk Abbey and Calke Park Estate which is beautiful at any time of the year but we go now to see their amazing bluebell woods. The most impressive part is Serpentine Wood where there are great carpets of bluebells.
As well as woodland the walk will include some waterside paths and will explore the wider estate and venture in to the surrounding countryside.
Location & Itinerary
There are cafés and toilets at the start and at Calke Park. If you bring a packed lunch we can stop somewhere to enjoy this.
