Overview

Join Pam for the Season Opener in Brighton – combining sporting action, an enjoyable atmosphere, and a scenic backdrop for a different day out with friends watching an afternoon of flat racing

Unusual Track

The track is quite unusual, as it is one of the few British courses not to have a complete circuit. Instead, it has an undulating, left-handed, horseshoe-shaped course of one mile four furlongs in length. The mile four start is the lowest point of the course, with the Winning Post being the highest, and there is an uphill climb from two furlongs out.

Places To Eat

Brighton Racecourse offers a wide selection of places to eat and drink during your day at the races. From a table in our restaurant to a pulled pork bap or burger & chips on the concourse, there is something to suit everyone’s taste. Different food outlets will be open depending on the fixture you attend.

Places To Drink

There are a selection of bars situated throughout the racecourse, providing easy access to beverages in all enclosures. From champagne to craft ales, there’s something for everyone, so sit back, relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the races. Different bars will be open depending on the fixture you attend.

Host & Everything Else

What should I wear to Brighton races?

At Brighton Racecourse they do not operate with a specified dress code and instead encourage all racegoers to make sure they are comfortable.

There is no strict dress code, although many visitors choose to dress for the occasion and a smart/casual look is often adopted by many racegoers. Our only stipulation is they cannot permit sporting team shirts or offensive fancy dress.
