Please note that these terms and conditions cover all UK events, including overnight stays.

Cancellation By a Member

  • For evening and one day events, providing that you give Spice more than seven days’ notice (includes weekends and bank holidays), you will receive a full refund as a credit note, less a cancellation fee of 20% of the cost of the event or loss of deposit (whichever is lower), with a minimum fee of £3 (except where stated otherwise in the event description). If the total cost of the event is less than £3, then 100% charges will be due. Credit notes are valid for twelve months and are only redeemable against Spice events, weekends and holidays.
  • For ticketed events (theatre, concerts, etc), the events are non-refundable unless Spice can resell your place. If we can resell your ticket, you will receive a full refund as a credit note, less a cancellation fee of 20% of the cost of the event. Credit notes are valid for twelve months and are only redeemable against Spice events, weekends and holidays.
  • For overnight events and events costing £100 or more, unless the balance due dates are different in the event write-up, provided you give us more than 28 days’ notice (including weekends and bank holidays), you will receive a full refund as a credit note, less a cancellation fee of 20% of the cost of the event or the loss of your deposit (whichever is lower). Please note that this excludes overseas trips which have separate holiday terms and conditions. Credit notes are valid for twelve months and are only redeemable against Spice events, weekends and holidays.
  • In general, where cancellation is received within the cancellation period prior to an event, you will lose all monies paid (and also be liable for any balance) unless we can replace you. If you simply do not turn up for an event without contacting us, you will automatically forfeit any monies paid and will be liable for any balance. It is recommended that all cancellation should be in writing, and that you should assume you are still booked until you have written confirmation of your cancellation.

Cancellation By Spice

In the instance that Spice have to cancel a day or evening event, we will endeavour to give at least 24 hours’ notice before the event begins. For weekend events, we will aim to provide seven days’ notice beforehand, unless this is beyond the control of Spice. Should Spice cancel any event, you will be refunded in full, unless this amount is less than £25, in which case it will be credited to your online account.

Holidays and Overseas Trips

For holidays that last more than three overnights, or which are based outside of the UK, cancellation is as per the tour operator’s terms and conditions, as shown against the associated event on the Spice website.

Payments

All event payments must be made in full upon booking the event, unless otherwise stated on the event description. Late payment or non-payment of an event balance may result in the cancellation of your place on the event. In this case, you will lose all monies paid and also be liable for any balance. If vouchers are used for any part of the payment, there are additional conditions applicable.

Complaints

Complaints must be made first to your local coordinator, either by phone or in writing. If you require a written response, you must follow up any conversational complaint in writing. Thereafter, complaints should be sent to the Spice General Manager at the address iON Building, Unit 2 – Waldo Works, Waldo Road, London, NW10 6AW, or via email to team@spiceuk.com.
