Overview

This is a classic Spice weekend away for any budding detectives amongst us. Our plot will have you guessing and working with your team to find out who dunnit! This year is very much in the spirit of Agatha Christie’s famous Murder on the Orient Express. If you have joined us on one of these weekends before we have another BRAND NEW excellent plot written exclusively for Spice.

A Train Ride…To Die For - Our Murder Mystery begins on 21st January, 1938, at London Kings Cross with passengers bound for Edinburgh aboard The Flying Scotsman. As they settle in for the 8 hour overnight journey, each passenger opens the mystery package received 2 days earlier, containing their luxury train ticket plus two nights’ 5 * accommodation once they reach their destination. Who would be so foolish as to refuse such a generous gift? As the train heads northwards a deadly secret reveals itself. A secret that links all the passengers in unimaginable ways.  Deep snow covers the line on the approach to Newcastle, the train grinds to a halt and tragedy strikes; one of the passengers is found lifeless in his sleeper car. With no visible marks or signs of a struggle natural causes is the obvious conclusion, but a note found on his body reveals more sinister forces at play. An increasing sense of horror creeps over the remaining passengers as they realise that one of them must have killed the victim, for no other souls had entered or left the carriage since Kings Cross.  As the passengers await help from railway staff to dig them out of the snow, one of the recipients of the train tickets, WPC Tendall, attempts to solve the case. She asks those present to help her search for clues in the hope that she can discover the identity of the mystery benefactor – otherwise it could be the end of the line for them all.

It should be a lot of fun with a variety of activities to get your grey cells working.

This is a fantastic weekend, full of surprises, good fun, great entertainment, wonderful company and super food!

Will you solve the mystery, or will you be the murderer...?!!!

Host & Everything Else

As the weekend approaches we will be in touch with everyone as we need you to play a character over the weekend. Everyone is in a team, which will be allocated to you, and within the team everyone is playing a character. No acting is required unless you want to as you are given a booklet which gives you all the information about your character. You can bring props/costumes to enhance your character and add to the fun (optional). All the teams have the same characters so if you want to be in a team with your friends then you would all need to play different characters.
