Overview
The Royal Maritime Hotel & Club sounds like the ideal place to celebrate the Coronation of Charles III. The venue is perfectly placed to enjoy Portsmouth's attractions, being just 200m from Portsmouth Historical Dockyard and within easy walking distance of both Portsmouth Harbour railway station and Gunwharf Quays Shopping Centre, a prime location for a great weekend break. We have booked two nights with the option of adding a third night.
Your smoke-free hotel room contains a flat screen Freeview TV and tea/coffee making facilities, there is free Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel, and a full English breakfast is included. You can choose from a Classic room or a Budget room.
During your stay, you'll be able to enjoy the hotel swimming pool, with a Jacuzzi and steam room. You can have a game of pool, snooker or darts. On the Friday evening we have exclusive use of the 2 lane skittle alley and the Below Decks bar where we will be served a basket meal. Afterwards you can relax in the hotel or we can organise late night cocktails and dancing at Eden (cocktail bar at Gunwharf Quays)
Saturday we will find somewhere to watch the Coronation, there are likely to be large screens set up for everyone to enjoy the proceedings. On Saturday evening there will be a black tie party, with 3 course meal and DJ to dance the night away. If you choose to stay a third night, we are having dinner at The Cozy Club at Gunwharf Quays.
Over the weekend there is lots to do in the area, I have booked a lot of tickets already as they have been onsale since January, PEASE add yourself to the waitliist if you are interested and I should be able to get more tickets.
Spinaker Tower Tour and High Tea 1pm
Historic Dockyard (Buy own tickets and use forum to meet up with others)
Many of the attractions at the historic dockyard can be accessed via a single ticket, which once purchased can be used for 12 months, so you can use it Friday to Sunday/ Monday and then if you still haven’t seen everything, you have an excuse to go back to Portsmouth again! Attractions include HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, The National Museum of the Royal Navy, HMS M.33, The Mary Rose Museum, Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower and The Royal Navy Submarine Museum.
Note: There is a supplement of £36 per person for guest bookings. Double share rooms are only for couples and places must be booked for both people.

Options will be provided for Sunday activities, whether or not you stay the third night.
If you are staying the third night, we have booked dinner at The Cozy Club in Gunwharf Quays, and breakfast on the Monday will be 7.30-10am with checkout at 11am
Each morning there is a full English breakfast, served from 7.30am-10am
Friday evening the basket meal will be either: Chicken Breast; Beef Burger; Scampi; Veggie Burger or Sausages. All allergies/ intolerances can be accommodated (Coeliac, vegan, Gluten free etc.) A pre-order will be requested.

Travel & Stay
You have a choice of Classic or Budget rooms. All have en-suite bathrooms, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities. Full English breakfast is included.
The Classic rooms have been recently re-furbished, the budget rooms are the next in line to be done, they are similar in size to the classic rooms.
The hotel is a 6 minute walk from Portsmouth Harbour Rail station, and the trains seem to be frequent.
If you are arriving by car, There is limited parking on site, (first come first served) If there is no parking at the hotel, the Historic Dockyard Car park with 295 spaces is directly opposite. Current charge is £12 for 24 hours.
