Titanic Experience Belfast

Titanic Belfast is an iconic six-floor building featuring nine interpretive and interactive galleries that explore the sights, sounds, smells and stories of Titanic, as well as the City and people which made her. 

It is the world’s largest Titanic visitor experience and is located beside the Titanic Slipways, the Harland and Wolff Drawing Offices and Hamilton Graving Dock – the very place where Titanic was designed, built and launched in 1912. 

Using innovative design, interpretation and technology, including CGI, film and video, audio, archival materials, objects and scale models, each gallery will focus on a unique part of the Titanic story and the context of the period in which it was built.

Throughout the exhibition we will encounter individuals with stories to tell, many of them Belfast people; these include chief designer Thomas Andrews, pioneering entrepreneur Lord Pirrie, members of the Harland and Wolff Guarantee Group who sailed on the maiden voyage, local craftsmen who worked on the ship and some of her passengers. 

SS Nomadic: Our tickets will include a visit to the tender ship SS Nomadic*. Built alongside Titanic, the Nomadic’s main role was to carry first and second class passengers from the Port of Cherbourg across the shallow waters out to board the famous liner before she embarked on her maiden voyage. The Nomadic had a very detailed service life and was employed by other transatlantic liners. Famous guests such as Charlie Chaplin, Marie Curie and Elizabeth Taylor boarded the ship.

Located outside Titanic Belfast, guests can now visit the last remaining White Star vessel and the biggest artefact in the world linked directly to the Titanic. 

The experience is self-guided but by booking as a group we get a meet & greet from a Titanic Host and Fast tracked access in to the galleries and exhibition
