Afternoon Tea at The Grange York and optional museum visit
Overview
Come and join us for a delicious prosecco afternoon tea in this boutique style hotel located in a Grade II listed building in the affluent ‘Bootham’ part of York, built in 1830.
If you fancy some culture, then why not join us first for a visit to York Castle Museum which celebrates its 80th birthday. We will be meeting at 12.00pm at the entrance and the entrance fee will be payable on the day (£10 or £8 if we can get 10 or more people interested).

In the bar at 2.45pm ready to sit down at 3.00pm for afternoon tea. At 12.00pm at the entrance to York Castle Museum if you are joining us for this visit.
The Grange is situated on the A19 York to Thirsk road approximately 400 yards from the City Centre and 2 miles from the A1237 outer ring road.
There is a car park at the hotel but spaces are limited and for residents only (£10). There is on Street Parking on Queen Anne’s Road, Clifton, Bootham Crescent or St Olave’s Road. We do recommend you pay close attention to the white parking signs displayed as the regulations do differ from street to street and parts thereof and are subject to change without prior notice.

York Railway Station is less than a mile from the hotel. Leave the station concourse and turn left in the direction of the Minster, crossing the River Ouse via Lendal Bridge. At the traffic lights turn left into St Leonard’s Place and left again by the Art Gallery into Bootham (A19) and continue for approximately 400 yards. The Grange is on the left on the corner of Queen Anne’s Road.
If you are going to the York Castle Museum first the address is Eye of York, YO1 9RY. There is a pay and display car park at the museum.
