We have run this holiday for the past 4 years and it is always incredibly popular and by demand we are offering both an 8 day and 11 day stay this year if you want to relax for just that little bit longer!
Cyprus, in the eastern Mediterranean, has a rich, turbulent history stretching back to antiquity. Known for its beaches, it has a rugged interior with wine-growing regions. It’s separated into a Greek south and Turkish north, with the capital Nicosia also divided. Coastal Paphos is famed for its archaeological sites relating to the cult of Aphrodite as it is believed to be where the goddess first came to earth and is ‘where the gods go on holiday’. The dividing line between Europe and the Orient, Cyprus has so much to offer and that’s not even mentioning the great weather!
The story of Cyprus’ tumultuous past is told through its historic sites, Roman ruins, multifaceted museums and dusty urban streets. This sense of living history is highlighted most vividly in Paphos, with extraordinary archaeological sites like the Tombs of the Kings, which sprawls like an ancient theme park.
Cypriot food can also be amazing so if you fancy eating out one lunch you’ll be sure a of treat, venture out with your follow members to sample it! Meze is a delicious way to acquaint yourself with the local cuisine, tantalising the taste buds with a feast of small dishes, ranging from creamy hummus to spicy grilled sausage, and everything in between. Heavily influenced by Turkish, Greek and Middle Eastern cuisine, Cypriot food includes some culinary stars unique to the island, including haloumi (helimi in Turkish), and the kebabs are also in a league of their own. And the desserts are irresistible, flavoured with almonds, rose water and pistachios and ranging from creamy rice puddings to gloriously sticky baklava.

Constantinou Bros Pioneer Beach Hotel is an adult –focused, four star (local rating), beachfront hotel in Kato, Paphos situated conveniently close to the places of tourist and archaeological interest as well as to restaurants, bars and shops. This hotel is located 15km away from Paphos International Airport. If you have been on this holdiay before with us you will have noticed a change of hotel which is due to a large group taking over the Athema Beach.
All the rooms have large balconies with views of the Mediterranean or the surrounding serene landscape, luxury bathrooms, fruit, wine and a bottle of mineral water upon arrival. Free use of a private cabana on the beach with seating area and sunbeds for selected room types.
Room facilities include among others air conditioning and heating, flat screen LCD satellite TV and radio, fridge, mini bar, hairdryer, bathroom scales, make-up/shaving mirror, bathrobes and slippers, safety deposit box, ironing facilities, espresso machine as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
Sports and leisure facilities include 1 freshwater swimming pool with Jacuzzi, 1 indoor heated pool with Jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor short mat bowling facilities and outdoor Green Bowls facilities, a floodlit tennis court. In the hotel’s Elixir Spa there is a heated pool, sauna, steam bath, a fully equipped gym and a hairdressing salon. You can also choose from a good choice of professional massages as well as body treatments.
