Walking Weekend The Hastings Bonfire March & Fireworks
They stayed in the Best Western Royal Victoria Hotel, which occupied a stunning position on the seafront. The hotel was built in 1828 and had impressive period features such as the listed marble staircase with antique furnishings and modern elegance.
On the Saturday they headed out to the east around towns of Rye and Winchelsea. Rye is a beautiful medieval town with lots of historic buildings. It was lovely for them to explore not to mention a maze of local shops and cafes.
They also walked back to the Old Town of Hastings, hugging the coast all the way. This is the part of the town which was extensively used as a set for “Foyles War” and it’s quite nice to finish the day wandering the old streets with the innumerable numerous cafes and curio shops.
Make sure you take a look at some of our other up and coming walking weekends especially over the festive period!
