Spice is an adult social and activity membership group. We are a national organisation so once you join your local group you have access to hundreds of events nationwide. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, fun and inclusive group that welcomes anyone from the ages of 18 years and above with no upwards limit. Spice membership offers you a pathway to meeting new people, making new friends and increasing your social circle in a way you have yet to discover.
Where do we begin….there is so much to gain by joining Spice, you will literally be spoilt for choice. Choose from a huge variety of events both locally and nationally from rambles to meals to adventure activities to weekends away and access to our worldwide holiday programme. All the events are organised for you so all you have to do is choose your event, book, and turn up; Spice does the rest! It’s as simple as that!
You will also have access to Spice Extras which are offers negotiated exclusively for Spice members with discounts on products and services including some exciting days out for you and your family to take advantage of.
Free personal accident insurance which covers you whilst attending and travelling to and from the event!
The opportunity to meet like-minded people and make new friends in a relaxed and informal environment! You need never be bored again!

We are an adult group only so everyone from 18 years and over are most welcome. There is no upwards age limit so when you join you can be secure in the knowledge that your membership continues for as long as you wish to remain a member. The age group varies from region to region. It may also depend on the type of event you decide to book. We don’t like setting age parameters as we find this can be limiting.
The simple answer is YES! We would welcome you to try Spice as a guest to see if you like what we have to offer. We allow you to come along to 3 events before we would ask you to make a decision about whether or not Spice is for you. As a guest you will pay a slightly higher price than a member but the experience on the event will be exactly the same
Firstly, we are thrilled to hear that you are considering joining Spice. Although Spice is not a singles group, about 75% of our members are single with the remainder being couples or family members. The majority of our members attend events on their own so you will not be the only one, by far.
It is quite natural to feel nervous or anxious when attending your fist Spice event. We have all been there! The point to note is that everyone is very welcoming and the Spice host will be on hand to introduce you to everyone present and ensure that you have a memorable experience.
Choosing the right first event can be daunting. We would recommend picking an event that you think you would enjoy or are interested in doing. Rambles, quizzes and meal nights are certainly good starting points. Also try attending a “find out more” evening in your local area as these are where you will meet your local Spice coordinator and more importantly other potential new members like yourself.
The subscription fees cover the cost of running the group. It also gives you peace of mind in knowing that all the events are organised for you with a Spice coordinator/host present at almost every single event. This fee also has the added benefit of including insurance cover with our public liability insurance for all the adventure/activity events.
Joining Spice is easy. Click on the “Join” button on our website or if you prefer to speak to someone feel free to call your local Spice group. All the Spice groups details are listed on the “Groups” tab. Remember; new members can take advantage of our 30 day free trial.
Once you have joined, and to help kick start your Spice life. If you decide that Spice is not what you are seeking rest assured as you can cancel your membership at any time. We do not tie you into any kind of contract. So, go on, give Spice a try.... you have nothing to lose yet everything to gain...! See our “how to” video
We understand that people’s circumstances change from time to time which may result in some members needing to cancel their membership at some point. However, we like to think it’s not goodbye, merely, au revoir. The Spice door is always open to welcome you back at anytime in the future.

Once we have cancelled your membership, we will confirm this via email. No further subscriptions will be taken from your chosen bank account. However, if paying by direct debit, we would recommend that you also cancel this directly with your bank

However, if you still have part of your membership term left you are at liberty to continue booking and attending events until the date when your membership cancellation becomes effective. Once we have cancelled your membership, we will confirm this via email. No further subscriptions will be taken from your chosen bank account. However, if paying by direct debit, we would recommend that you also cancel this directly with your bank
Absolutely! Once you become a Spice member you can book any event in any other area through our national website.
As Spice is a membership organisation there is indeed a fee payable to be a member of this amazing social and activity group. The cost is just £15 a month (or £99 a year in advance) which is fabulous value for what you get out of Spice. We offer different types of membership and payment methods. Unfortunately, no. As Spice is a group for adults our insurance covers individuals over 18 years of age only. One of the attractions of Spice for some members is that it is an adult only group. However, if your children are 18 years or over, they would be most welcome to come along and join in the fun.
Yes as a returning member we delighted to welcome you back. Spice groups are adding new events throughout the month, so keep checking the website for these. Most groups and Spice UK send out regular event, weekend and holiday bulletins with updates, so keep an eye out! If you do not get these bulletins please get in touch with your local office. Once you have decided which of the numerous events you wish to attend, you can either book online or you can call your local Spice group and book direct over the phone. See our “how to” video
Provided you give us sufficient notice you will usually receive a full refund or credit note less a nominal cancellation fee. However, cancellation policies vary dependent on the differing types of events, full details are given on our website.
Yes, guests are most welcome. You will have the opportunity to bring the same friend three times to an event before we would ask them to consider joining Spice. As a guest they will pay a slightly higher price than a member but the experience on the event will be exactly the same. If you do decide to bring a friend, do make sure you introduce them and integrate them into the group. It can be tempting to just stay with your guest, but you will get more out of Spice if you come out of your comfort zone and interact with your fellow Spicers as well.
Unfortunately, ex-members are not allowed to book as guests as it is unfair on our members who are paying their membership fees. Ex members would need to re-join in order to make future bookings.
Generally speaking, yes. However, we would suggest that you contact your local group to confirm first as sometimes the rambles are not suitable for dogs due to the terrain.
Spice is an adult only group therefore children are not permitted to attend any events and Spice insurance only covers over 18’s. One of the attractions of Spice for some members is that it is an adult only group. However, if your children are 18 or over, they would be most welcome to join the group.
