Weekday Ramble: Willington Group 2
Overview
A walk exploring the picturesque area known as Little Switzerland. As its name suggests, there are fantastic vistas over the west Cheshire Plains, as well as beautiful pastoral scenery and some prehistoric interest. Please bring sandwiches for a picnic lunch, and your walking boots as usual.
Facilities: Due to Covid-19, the current status of the toilets en route at the Blakemere Craft Centre mentioned in ‘Getting There’ directions is unknown.
From Mcr get to J19 on M6. Take the A556 south signposted Chester and Northwich. Follow this for about 16 miles to Gresty’s Waste Car Park on the left where we meet, passing the Blakemere Craft Centre and crossing the junction with the A49. More precisely, Gresty’s Waste Car Park is 3.7 miles past the aforementioned A49 junction. Postcode CW6 0SP for SatNav.
