FEEDBACK

Just wanted to say what a good day we had at the watercolour workshop with Julie.

I'd tried painting by numbers before but that was about it! Julie took us through the basics from the paper qualities, brushes and the all important use of water to wet the paper. Then on to the mixing and getting pools of colour ready. But, we were quickly into 'doing' rather than listening. Daunting, but Julie broke it down into easy steps and it suddenly seemed possible. We managed 3 different pictures in the day, all aimed at teaching us different techniques rather than producing a masterpiece. Julie was there if we needed rescuing, but otherwise gently let us get on with it.

I recommend this to anyone who just wants to find out what it's all about. You just never know till you try!

Just to let you know Lynda and I had a great time at our First Spice Event today. The organisation from the moment we booked to arriving at the venue was superb.

We met some lovely people and hopefully we will see them at future Spice Events too. Julie is sooo talented and and excellent Teacher.I have attached some photos of the event - I am so pleased with my results, as the only artwork I have done since taking my Art 'O' Level has been painting my various Houses! Thanks once again and we will be looking for our next event really soon.

It was a great day. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have never painted before, but Julie was very warm and friendly. She explained things clearly and was very patient with us all. Watercolour
