We have managed to negotiate a return visit to this wonderful location in the heart of Lulworth Cove, where we will further explore the Best of the Dorset countryside and coast from our base at the HF Country House in Lulworth Cove. The house is just 200yds from the sea, overlooking Lulworth cove and as with all HF houses you will be very well catered for. The house was fully refurbished in 2015, the house has 23 bedrooms, many with views down to the sea. There is a new lounge and dining room, sunny south facing garden, an outdoor swimming pool and free parking for guests in the public car park opposite the house. Like all HF Country Houses, it tailors for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts with boot room, drying room and sociable bar and more importantly it is perfectly located amongst some of the finest countryside in the UK.

Location & Itinerary
To allow you to choose a walk that suits you best, we will provide a minimum of two walks on each day, led by professional and knowledgeable walking guides. On both days there will be a harder walk of 10-12 miles with up to 2,000ft of ascent and a gentler walk of 7-10 miles with less ascent.
Travel & Stay
West Lulworth House is situated in an elevated location overlooking Lulworth Cove. This iconic location on Dorset's Jurassic Coast is popular with walkers, bird watchers and fossil hunters. West Lulworth House was built in 1881 and purchased by HF in 2013 then tastefully and sympathetically fully refurbished in 2015, the house has 23 bedrooms, many with views down to the sea. There is a new lounge and dining room, sunny south facing garden, an outdoor swimming pool and free parking for guests in the public car park opposite the house. Like all HF Country Houses, it is tailored for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts with boot room, drying room, Discovery Point, and sociable bar.
In your room you’ll find a TV with digital radio, hair dryer, towels and tea and coffee-making facilities There is licensed bar, a boot and drying room and yes WiFi. HF pride themselves on the quality of the food, using local produce wherever possible. You’ll find a range of home-baked goods amongst the choices for our famous self select picnic lunches and dinner is the social highlight of the day, offering three courses with plenty of choice. This might include locally caught fish and seafood, locally grown fruit or a platter of local cheeses. With your meal, enjoy a drink from the bar which offers a range of wines and local beers.

By Car: By road to Lulworth Cove For those with satellite navigation enter BH20 5RJ for the centre of Lulworth Cove. The recommended route is via Bere Regis and Wool – although slightly longer this avoids the traffic through Bournemouth and Poole. From Bere Regis follow signs to Wool. At Wool cross the level crossing and turn left following signs to Lulworth Cove and West Lulworth. Continue for a further 4 miles to Lulworth Cove. As you enter Lulworth Cove village, there is a slip road on your left to West Lulworth House. Park on the slip road if you would like to take advantage of our bag drop off service which is available from 10am to 6.30pm on arrival and departure days. You can then continue to the large public car park to park your car. Car parking permits: The public car park is free for HF Holidays’ guests, but you must give your registration number to the house staff within 30 minutes of parking. No responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage to guests’ property or vehicles. We advise not to leave valuables in cars.
Car parking: Re: CHANGE IN PARKING PROCESS IN LULWORTH COVE
All guests must give their Car Registration Number to the House staff within 30 minutes of parking. Staff at West Lulworth House will then enter the details on a digital platform and pay for your parking. The local estate, who runs the car park, now uses Car Registration Plate to establish if the payment been made.
NOTE: If you do not register your car within 30 minutes of parking, you will receive a fine issued by the private car park company and unfortunately we are not able to intervene on your behalf.

Station transfers
Station transfers by taxi The 5-mile journey from Wool railway station takes approximately 15 minutes. The centre have negotiated a preferential rate with Durdle Door Cabs for all pre-booked journeys, of £11 per 4 seat taxi. They will arrange shared taxis wherever possible.
