Walk - Denham Green circular 7 miles - Grp 2

Join Alan for a walk from Denham Green to Denham Country Park and Uxbridge.

Alan's first walk back after lockdown; hopefully the last long gap between walks. We will meet outside Wenzels, next to Denham Green Station, postcode UB9 5ET. There is a station car park but if arriving by car I suggest parking just round the corner in Moorfield Road (the layby by the parade of shops extends here). Alternatively you can park a little further down in Link Way or Savay Lane. You may wish to arrive early and get a hot drink or even breakfast. The toilets in the station will probably be locked but we will visit the toilets at Denham Country Park during the walk.

A relatively easy walk with good paths, no hills and no stiles. Please wear appropriate footwear, walking boots recommended. Also, bring fluids, suitable clothing and sanitiser. And don't forget a face mask, particularly if going into any shops. There is a lot of water on this walk including the Rivers Misbourne, Frays and Colne and the Grand Union Canal. 

There is no plan to have a stop during the walk, except drink/snack/toilet stops. The toilets are at Denham Country Park which we shall pass after about 2 miles and again after about 5 miles. Currently they are only open from 11am so may only be open on the return journey. You may wish to join Alan at the end of the walk for a picnic lunch although the picnic spots are limited - bring your own or get something at Wenzels.

A very approximate time of arriving back is 12.45.

This walk will be limited to 12 people, 2 groups of 6. Alan will lead the first group and someone else will lead a second group behind the first if required.
