We will walk from the village of Calverley circling the Woodhall Hills Golf Club and partly following the route of the Leeds Country Way through woodland we will return to the village. Our route back to the cars takes us through Victoria Park.

Distance: around 3¼ miles

Do not attend if you have virus symptoms.

We must all observe the social distancing regulations. Please do not book unless you are prepared to keep a two metre distance from other walkers. We are not requiring members to wear face coverings, but you are welcome to do so if that makes you feel more comfortable. We advise that you bring gloves and hand sanitiser. Do not share food or drink or equipment such as walking poles with other walkers outside your household or bubble.

Is this for me?

Walking on a combination of roadside pavements, open and woodland footpaths. The woodland path was muddy when we checked this walk last week so be sure to take suitable footwear. There is around 115m of ascent on this walk.

By the Conservative Club on Victoria Street at its junction with Parkwood Road in Calverley.

Getting There

There is plenty of free roadside parking on Victoria Street on the south side of Victoria Park.

The Spice National Weekend is coming to Yorkshire

Each summer we have a big national weekend get together and this year it is coming to Yorkshire! We have booked rooms at the York Radisson Hotel for the first weekend in August and are looking forward to welcoming Spice members from across the country. The weekend includes party nights on both the Friday and Saturday with a Viking theme on the Saturday, and there will be lots of fun activities across the weekend, such as walks, treasure hunts, and a boat trip. There's so much to see in York that it is bound to be a great fun weekend. There are options for a two-night or three-night stay.
