This event is no longer available.

A circular Walk from The Rising Sun on Abbey Lane, Sheffield taking in parts of Whirlow with long views from the peak at Castle Dyke, and ending walking through parts of Ecclesall Woods.

Please dress appropriately for the weather, stout shoes or boots are recommended. Afterwards we have included a two course lunch at The Rising Sun.

Distance: 3¾ miles approx.

If you book and then for any reason you can't make it please let us know so we can offer the place to someone else. Do not attend if you have virus symptoms.

We must all observe the social distancing regulations. Please do not book unless you are prepared to keep a two metre distance from other walkers. We are not requiring members to wear face coverings, but you are welcome to do so if that makes you feel more comfortable. We advise that you bring gloves and hand sanitiser. Do not share food or drink or equipment such as walking poles with other walkers outside your household or bubble.

The Covid restrictions have certainly changed our plans this year, but they haven't stopped our fun. When the UK went into lockdown in March, Spice were very quick to move online and we soon became familiar with Zoom, arranging dozens of get togethers for our members across the country. As the year has gone on, gradually we have been able to get out more in the real world and it has been a joy to catch up with our Spice friends.
