A circular walk anticlockwise around the three linked Redmires Reservoirs in the Dark Peak to the west of Sheffield at the eastern edge of the Peak District National Park. We'll walk anticlockwise around the reservoirs, going up along the quiet road before taking footpaths back along the southern edge, where you'll get the best views of the water in these interestingly shaped reservoirs, which are visited by thousands of wildfowl and waders each year.
Please dress appropriately for the weather, stout shoes or boots are recommended. Afterwards we have included lunch at The Three Merry Lads where we have booked an outdoor table due to the Covid regulations.
Distance: 3 miles approx.
If the weather is unsuitable for outdoor dining we will reschedule this event.
If you book and then for any reason you can't make it please let us know so we can offer the place to someone else. Do not attend if you have virus symptoms.
We must all observe the social distancing regulations. Please do not book unless you are prepared to keep a two metre distance from other walkers. We are not requiring members to wear face coverings, but you are welcome to do so if that makes you feel more comfortable. We advise that you bring gloves and hand sanitiser. Do not share food or drink or equipment such as walking poles with other walkers outside your household or bubble.
