Walk an Alpaca at Quarry Bridge Farm in Polesworth
Overview
Based at Quarry Bridge Farm in Polesworth, Suzie's Alpacas is a lovely family-run farm where we can expect a hands on experience.
We begin with an exclusive talk from our Italian Alpaca expert Donducé, who will start with the history of the Alpaca. We can expert to learn some interesting facts about these fluffy animals and also learn how to walk them.
Following our talk there will be a brief tour of the other animals on the farm. We can expect to see horses, Shetland ponies, donkeys, sheep, a pig, goats, owls, hens and geese! After our tour we are given our own Alpaca to talk for a twenty minute walk.
Once our 'work' is complete we can expect a well deserved hot or cold drink and of course, a slice of cake too!
This event is organized and supplied by Suzie's Alpacas, whose terms and conditions apply, obtainable on request and for whom Spice act as agent. Those booking enter into a contract directly with Suzie's Alpacas. For availability and bookings contact Spice.

Feedback from our last visit in September 2021
"The Alpaca trip was brilliant. Such lovely animals, Emma fell in love with the Skunk! We could not have been looked after better"
"I came away so uplifted and have raved about it ever since - the rest of the group were lovely, I really really enjoyed it - one of the best things I've done with Spice. Can we go again please? ??"
"Everyone on it thoroughly enjoyed it, we all said we'd like to do it again.
The event happened exactly as described in the joining instructions - we had a quick show round the animals and then we were allocated an alpaca (one between two) to take for a walk. It was all really well supervised and explained, the walk which was chaperoned by helpers and was probably about 15-20 minutes. The organisers were very generous about stopping for photos etc. then we had tea and a cake.
We had a long chat with Suzy and Emma afterwards as one of the party opted for an additional activity of 'cuddling a skunk' for £5. They're lovely people whose focus is on the animals and their welfare, they said they'd struggled during lock down and were pleased business is picking up. Being honest it's quite a casual operation and parts of the farm look a bit scruffy but that didn't bother anyone and it's a working farm not an office block. I also think the price reflects the less polished surroundings"
