Visit to the Leeds Donkey Sanctuary and Lunch at Gusto
Overview
Come and join us for an informative visit to The Donkey Sanctuary which was founded in 1969 by Elisabeth Svendsen, MBE. Since then, they have made a profound difference to the lives of donkeys and people all over the world.
Discover how The Donkey Sanctuary began and how it grew into the international charity it is today
We'll meet near the entrance at 11.30am and will spend about an hour and a half looking around the Sanctuary. At about 1.00pm we will drive the short distance to Gusto on Otley Road.
If you wish to just join us for lunch then please arrive at 1.15pm for our table at 1.30pm. The address is 151 Otley Old Road, Leeds LS16 6HN. Please let us know if you are doing this.

Location & Itinerary
We will be having a 2 course lunch as below:
MAINS
PAN ROAST RUMP OF LAMB - crispy polenta, pea puree, and red wine jus
CHARGRI LLED 10oz PORK CUTLET - served on the bone with apple sauce, crackling, kale, and red wine jus
ROAST CHICKEN BREAST - with creamed leeks, tomato and caper dressing, with fried gnocchi
PEPPERONI SALSICCIA PIZZA - pepperoni and mozzarella
OVEN ROASTED CAULIFLOWER STEAK - topped with almonds and seeds, tomato coulis,
and a salad of pickled vegetables
PAN FRIED FILLET OF SEA BASS - served on a bed of creamed spinach
DESSERTS
HOMEMADE GUSTO TIRAMISU
BOMBOLINI - lightly sweetened dough balls with caramelised Biscoff dip and Chantilly cream
STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING - with vanilla ice cream
THREE SCOOP ICE CREAM AND GINGERBREAD CRUMB-DUSTING - choose from vanilla, chocolate, salted caramel or Eton mess
The Donkey Sanctuary is located on Swan Lane which is just off Blackhill Lane which is off Eccup Lane.
Gusto is located on Otley Old Road which is just off the Otley Road A660. Turn up New Adel Lane from the A660 to get onto Otley Old Road.
