Visit to Houghton Lodge Gardens with Afternoon Tea.

Houghton Lodge Gardens has been described by recent visitors as ‘the jewel of the Test Valley’, and ‘A Stately Pleasure-Dome on the most romantic river in England’. It has been the home of the Busk family for more than a century, and still is. Some people visit Houghton for its architecture, some for its literary connections and some for its gardens; but everyone leaves with a sense of its ageless tranquillity and special magic. It is little wonder that Country Life readers voted it in such numbers for their search for ‘England’s Favourite Country House’.

Having a 14-acre garden with lots of open space it is the perfect place to relax and unwind while maintaining social distancing from other visitors. We will take our time revelling in the sights of this beautiful place before stopping to find a nice spot to enjoy our afternoon tea which will be provided by Jackie, your Spice coordinator. We can stay at the gardens for as long as we like or until 5.00pm when the car park gates will be locked
