Overview
A favourite amongst all Spicers, our regular monthly 10 Pin Bowling night at Hollywood Bowl is action packed from the word go. More than just a bowling night, this is the night when friends old and new come together for a fun packed evening. A very popular evening that offers great value for money, and the chance of a good “chin wag” to catch up on the latest gossip over a beer.
Due to Covid restrictions, and to prevent more than six of us being together, we have booked two lanes but with staggered start times - this one at 7:20pm and one at 7:40pm. There will be a maximum of six bowlers on each lane. Please book whichever time you prefer, but note that we may ask you to swap session to balance the numbers on the two lanes. Once there, please socialise only with the people on your lane. We realise this will be difficult but we have to follow the guidelines carefully, both for your safety and to protect our future bookings.
During this time, we will not be using our usual pyramids to score, but it will be highest score wins. (We hope to return to playing pyramid bowling when we are allowed to mix in larger groups.)
The price you pay includes admission, and two games of non-stop bowling! It is important that you arrive just before your start time and report to the event coordinator at the entrance to the bar (on the left as you enter the main doors).

The venue is wheelchair accessible with ramps available to the bowling lanes.
We meet a few minutes before the start time in the bar area which is to your left as you enter.
Easily accessible via tram going towards Meadowhall
Parking: There are plenty of free Car Parking spaces at Valley Centertainment but please arrive early to find a space as sometimes when the FlyDSA Arena have events on or a new release is at the cinema it can tend to be a lot busier.

As a new member, and it was my first event, it was a great way to get to know quite a lot of people in a relaxed social gathering
Brilliant night - friendly relaxed social evening with new friends. If you have never bowled before, give it a whirl as the pyramid way of scoring is brilliant for newbies.
This is a really enjoyable, relaxed and fun event. Lots of laughter, would highly recommend.

What a laugh! - The whole evening was great fun, and both old and new Spice members mixed well and chatted sociably. I didn't realise how difficult it is to deliberately bowl low numbers!
