Sunday Walk: Lindow and Wilmslow
Overview
A lovely walk taking in Lindow Moss & Lindow Common and the affluent surrounding areas.
Lindow Common is one of Cheshire’s few remaining lowland heaths and is an important habit for a variety of wildlife - Black Lake is well known for its dragon flies and a few remaining Water Voles.
This is an almost flat walk and dependent upon the time of year it can be a bit damp underfoot so please do come prepared.
There are no toilet facilities at the start at the time of writing.
An interesting 5 Minute TedEd talk involving Lindow Peat https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=1015509015845102
