Sunday Walk: Cheesden near Bury
Overview
A new walk exploring the area west of Cheesden Brook, taking in the haunting ruins of Cheesden Mill. Underfoot the conditions are very good, and there are great views overlooking the Irwell Valley plus panoramic views of the west Pennine moors and beyond. Please bring sandwiches as we will be stopping en route for a picnic. As ever, please bring your walking boots.
Facilities: Birch Services are between J18 and J19 on the M60, requiring a maximum of a 6 motorway mile diversion if you use the M60 J18 route described in ‘Getting there’ and double back to J18 from J19
