Sunday Lunch at The Foxton Locks Inn
Overview
Enjoy a great Sunday Lunch at a lovely pub in a superb location with a great bunch of Spicers.
We dine at The Foxton Locks Inn where the Sunday Lunch is either a carvery (you will have the choice of two meats) or a selection of other dishes from their menu (see the Food & Meals section).
There will be the option of a desert (extra charge) if you fancy something sweet to finish.
You could of course arrive earlier and have a wander around the picturesque and interesting Foxton Locks (ten locks consisting of two "staircases" each of five locks on the Grand Union Canal) and the Inclined Plane (used to move larger barges that wouldn’t fit into the locks) admiring the stunning views over the surrounding countryside.
Note: There is also a ramble starting earlier and we will meet some of the walkers who will join us for the Sunday Lunch. If you want to do the walk too please book the other event on the same day, using this link

These are the choices for the Sunday Lunch
- Carvery: Roast topside of beef, Roast of the day or Chef’s vegetarian dish of the day. Served with Yorkshire pudding, sage & onion stuffing, rich gravy and all the trimmings
- Foxton Fish Pie: Fresh seafood in a mature cheddar, garden peas, white wine & herb sauce, topped with creamy mash, seasonal vegetables
- Red lentil, vegetable & coconut curry: Steamed rice, garlic naan & mango chutney
- 8oz Prime steak burger: Toasted brioche, burger relish, sliced tomato, gherkin, iceberg lettuce served with chunky chips (Add cheese or bacon for £1)
- Grilled chicken Caesar salad: Baby gem, toasted croutons, shaved Parmesan, anchovies & classic Caesar dressing
