Getting There

Newmillerdam is located on the main A61 Barnsley Road on the left hand side as you leave Wakefield towards Barnsley. We will meet at the War Memorial which is on the left just before the road bridge over the dam. There is a small car park here but if this is full, there is a larger car park further on over the bridge on the same side of the road which is pay and display (postcode WF2 6QQ).

Buses 59 and 59a pass on Barnsley Road. Take the Newmillerdam (N1) or Newmillerdam (N2) stop.

The Spice Yorkshire Summer Ball

We now have full details of our Spice Yorkshire Summer Ball, and as promised, it will be on Saturday 17 June. We're going back to the Clayton Hotel where we had our summer party last year as we got great feedback after that event. There's no fancy dress theme this time though as this one is a ball, so dress to impress in your posh frock or dinner jacket. We have use of the large function room and have access to the outdoor area again, which is a nice bonus on a summer evening. The evening includes a welcome drink and a three-course dinner with half a bottle of wine, and then we'll dance the night away with the DJ taking us through to 1am. It's one of the highlights of the Spice Social event calendar so don't miss out!
