Overview: Following several requests Steve & Arlene Dell have developed a new social weekend in the historic Stratford upon Avon.
Stratford upon Avon is a market town famous for Shakespeare, but there is so much more to Stratford than the Bard. It’s a pretty riverside town with many historic buildings and tourist attractions which just oozes culture and heritage.
We stay in a lovely 4*, central Stratford upon Avon; the Doubletree by Hilton which gets 4.5 out of 5 on Trip Advisor. The hotel has a car park but is also walking distance from the railway station.
The weekend is designed to be flexible and relaxed - over the weekend there will be several coordinated activities and visits to Stratford upon Avon’s attractions (see below). You can either do all of these activities or dip in and out as you please, you may want to go to other attractions in smaller groups or you may want to do some shopping! There will be group meals on the Friday and Saturday evenings.
Stratford upon Avon has some great tourist attractions and some of the more popular ones are listed below. Steve will develop an itinerary of coordinated in advance of the weekend. When these are finalised, they will be added as events on the website for you to book.

The weekend starts…
Friday: Travel at your leisure; either come earlier or after work. We could fit in an activity on the Friday afternoon if people are interested.
Friday Evening: There will be a group meal option and afterwards we can discover some of the Stratford’s pubs.
Saturday: There will be a number of coordinated activities during the day. You can do all of them or just dip in and out with the ones you fancy. Please see above for the details of the coordinated activities. Most of them will be shown as trip extras as separate events and will need to be booked in advance.
Saturday Evening: There will be another group meal option and afterwards we can discover some more of the Stratford’s pubs.
Sunday: There will be a number of coordinated activities during the day. You can do all of them or just dip in and out with the ones you fancy.
