Stonehenge Sunset Tour - August Bank Holiday weekend
Overview
Join us for the chance to access inside of Stonehenge's stone circle. Normally closed to the public, this is an opportunity to get close to the stones themselves, learn about their history and hopefully witness a stunning sunset.
UNESCO World Heritage listed Stonehenge is the most famous and sophisticated stone circle in the world, aligned on the solstice sunrise and sunset. It is surrounded by other prehistoric monuments and a huge number of burial mounds. There is much about Stonehenge that remains a mystery but this evening you will learn what we do know from our expert guide, archaeologist and historian, Don Bryan.
Don will tell us a little about the people who built Stonehenge, how and why we think they did it and will bring the landscape to life for us. He may also bring his dowsing rods and let you try dowsing the energy lines which cross the circle. Weather permitting we should also be able to witness a spectacular sunset from inside the stone circle.
This is definitely a very special event - don't forget your cameras!
Please note: This event is a ticketed event and as tickets have already been purchased so it is non-refundable unless the event is full and we can resell your space.
Please note: Access to the inner circle is subject to certain conditions and the supplier reserves the right to cancel this event at very short notice. If the event is cancelled by English Heritage, you will receive a full refund minus £3 admin fee to help cover the cost of our guide.
