We shall be staying at the 3 Star Sea Front Oceon Hotel which provides comfortable accommodation with a bar and live entertainment plus indoor swimming pool and is located within easy reach of shops and other attractions.

About Shanklin
With its beautiful beach and gardens, Shanklin is a charming seaside town, one of the island’s top resorts.
Shanklin named after the famous Chine overlooks sandy beaches and thatched roofs of 'Old Shanklin Village', suffuse it with 'Old World Charm'.
During the course of the weekend you we will have the opportunity to explore the island and take in Allum Chine, The Needles , Yarmouth, Cowes , Sandown and Ryde with some beautiful walks on the coast and in Shanklin Chine. We will stop at some nice pubs or perhaps an afternoon tea.
Take a short boat ride across the Solent and discover the Isle of Wight, an island of great natural beauty with a wealth of attractions for visitors of all ages. Shanklin, on the south east coast of the island, is home to a variety of safe, golden beaches and a quaint collection of shops housed in traditional thatched cottages.

We will visit a local pub on Saturday lunchtime , this will be a pay as you go event and costing for this outing is not included

Saturday
After Breakfast
We will tour the island in shared cars or a coach or Mini Bus
to see some of the highlights like Allum Bay, The Needles, Yarmouth with a nice pub stop for lunch.
We will have Guided WALK today from Freshwater Bay to Alum Chine across Tennyson Down which are renowned for its amazing views! Then see the beautiful coloured sands on Allum bay and have the option to take a boat ride out to the Needles
Back in time to freshen up for drinks before dinner and entertainment at the hotel or take a stroll out to one of the nearby pubs
Sunday
This is your free day to explore independently or in small groups. Perhaps you fancy a leisurely day to relax on the beach and sunbathe and swim in the sea or perhaps have a swim in our hotel's indoor heated pool. You may join a group to for another walk to Ventnor, check out Shanklin Shrine or perhaps have an afternoon tea or pub lunch in the old village of Shanklin with its beautiful thatched cottages.
There are many other attractions of the Island that you may also like to check out including
Osbourne house where Queen Victoria and Princes Albert had as a summer home, Godshill, the Zoo or Wine tasting at a vineyard to name a few.
Come back in time to freshen up for Dinner
Live entertainment at the hotel or take a stroll out to one of the nearby pubs.
Monday
After Breakfast and check out
We will make our way over to Ryde and Cowes to explore the beaches, shops and take in the views of the Solent before catching our ferry home around 4pm
Stopping for lunch or afternoon tea somewhere depending on Ferry times
Arriving back home Monday evening
