SPICE EXCLUSIVE: Eurovision Watch Party
Overview
It's Eurovision night, so join us in the Zoom room so we can watch it together!
We'll have a bit of a quiz, watch the live performances and choose our own favourites!
After the performances we'll enjoy music by former contestants, while the competition officials try to figure out the scoring.
The first 39 people to book have been entered in our sweepstake to win a £30 Spice holiday voucher and a Spice t-shirt!
Sweepstake rules...
- The first 39 members to book the event will be randomly allocated a country, and we will share the list of names and allocations with anyone that books. Only current Spice members can enter the draw. No more than one entry per person. Spice staff are not eligible to enter.
- If anyone that has been allocated a country, subsequently cancels their bookings we will reallocate their countries to later bookers in order of booking
- The prize will be awarded on the night to the member whose allocated country is declared the overall winner of Eurovision
- If the winner is not in the zoom room at the time that the result is declared, their prize will be forfeit and we will award it to the highest placed member who is still with us in the room.
Location & Itinerary
7:30pm Welcome and we'll have a short Eurovision quiz.
8:00pm The live show starts. We expect the first song around 8:15pm. We'll listen to each song and then have a quick chat and decide our scores between acts. There'll be an interval act, which we can watch too.
10:15pm The mammoth task of collating the scores from the international judges begins. We'll add up our own scores much more quickly to find who we expect to win.
We'll then play music from previous song contests and tracks by previous entrants from ABBA to Engelbert Humperdinck, until the winner is announced, and we'll keep the party going until late.
