In 1947, the Indian Subcontinent had 528 principalities each of which had its own ruler - The Nawaab. A Nawaab enjoyed a lavish lifestyle. They were patrons of the arts, architecture, martial arts, horsemanship, beautiful gardens and flowers, poetry and last but not least exquisite food and wine.
