Overview

Today we are taking a nice easy walk around Heaton Park a 600 acre Municipal Park in Prestwich. there is lots of different walks around the park so don't worry if you have done it before its a different route every time.

The park contains an 18-hole golf course, a boating lake, an animal farm, a pitch and putt course, a golf driving range, woodlands, ornamental gardens, an observatory, an adventure playground, a Papal monument and a volunteer-run tram system and museum, and is listed Grade II by Historic England. It has the only truly flat green bowling greens in Manchester, built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

Host & Everything Else

DOGS: well behaved dogs are welcomed on this walk. They need to be kept on a lead unless the whole group decides it is acceptable for them not to be.

Dress Code: Please dress accordingly for the weather and wear walking boots or stout shoes suitable for all terrain. Please bring a bottle of water with you to keep hydrated
