Travel & Stay
The Hotel Cristallo is tucked away in a quiet side street just off the main Via Roma which runs through the heart of the village. It’s only a five minute walk from the hotel to the main cable car lift and to make life even easier for you, there are ski lockers available by the cable car entrance, so you don’t even have to carry your ski gear with you.
This isn’t a characterless newly built hotel so don’t expect sleek, modern and luxury but do expect quirky charm and great service. Inside the hotel has beamed ceilings, whitewashed walls and antique furniture. The rich, honey-coloured wood panelled bedrooms are comfortable and all are en suite with a bath or shower and WC. NB – rooms vary in size, outlook and facilities and allocation of rooms is on a pot luck basis.
Breakfast is a continental affair and if you want you can have a steaming bowl of porridge to set you up for the day or of course there are always pastries and fruit if you prefer a lighter option. On 5 nights dinner in the evening will be taken in the Brasserie Judith, located right on the ground floor of the hotel.
