Portpatrick is a seaside town on the western shore of the Rhins of Galloway peninsula.
Our destination for an autumn social weekend and our chance to explore this wonderful part of Scotland. As usual with our social breaks there will be walking and place of interest options - all in great company.

Location & Itinerary
Full details will be finalised nearer the time but as with all our social weekends expect a walk option on Saturday and Sunday as well as places of interest options led by Mark Biagioni.
The restaurant at Fernhill Hotel has stunning views out over Portpatrick harbour and towards the Irish Sea and coasts. During the day is the perfect time to watch the boats sail into the harbour and in the evenings during dinner, the lights over the village and harbour are simply breathtaking to witness.
Fernhill Hotel is justly proud of its restaurant, and we will enjoy it in the morning with a hearty breakfast and a delicious dinner in the evening – the chefs prepare all of the restaurants food using only the best Scottish produce which allows them to produce an evening menu that changes daily.
Check in will be from 3pm with dinner planned for around 7.30pm.

There is a train station at Stranraer which is 7 miles from Portpatrick. Portpatrick is also served by bus from Stranraer.
