Celebrate the jubilee with a long weekend at the seaside in this hostel with fabulous coastal views and just a short walk from Scarborough town centre. From walking on the Cleveland Way, exploring the castle, the sea life centre, the Victorian spa, the renowned Stephen Joseph theatre, two fabulous beaches, beautiful gardens and loads of seaside fun, Scarborough has lots to offer.
Subject to the weather & tides we will organise an optional group boat trip out on one of the Scarborough Pleasure Steamers to see the coast from the North Sea.
These weekends are great for socialising with like-minded Spice members in a beautiful location. If you’ve never been on a Spice weekend before give it a go - we're sure you'll love it! If you have been before you’ll already understand why they are so popular.
Friday Walk: For those that want to we have a walk on Friday on the Cleveland Way.
We'll take the bus to Ravenscar and then follow the Cleveland Way coastal path south back to Scarborough. On route we will see what remains of the World War II Radar Station. The Cleveland Way is a National Trail in ancient Cleveland in northern England running 110 miles between Helmsley and the Filey Brigg, skirting the North York Moors National Park. The section we will walk is around 9 miles along the North Sea Coast.
9 miles on a popular coastal path. Be ready to go at 10am.
On Friday night we will celebrate the jubilee with a party night with street party style food, and music and dancing.
On Saturday we can enjoy any of Scarborough's attractions, and at the end of the day we will have a fish and chip supper.
