Regent's Canal, Primrose Hill, Parks & Gardens, 9 mile walk

Please meet on Pancras Road which runs between St Pancras and Kings Cross railway stations, by the big white framed 'bird cage' at 09:50, ready to depart on the walk at 10:00.

We will follow the Regent's Canal to Camden (takeaway coffee and loo stop), then walk up Primrose Hill for a high view over London and it's great land marks. Bring a drink and snack to have on Primrose Hill because lunch isn't until 2pm. We'll walk through Regents Park, then alongside the canal again en-route to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park where we will buy lunch (at your own expense) from the cafe and eat it sitting beside the Serpentine. Alternatively, you can go up to the 'Roof Top' outside dining tables, or bring a picnic if you prefer. After lunch we will walk via Kensington Gardens to Holland Park to see the Dutch Garden (lots of tulips!), Kyoto Garden (Japanese), Napoleon Garden and Lord Holland's Pond etc. 

You might like to treat yourself to tea and cake at the outdoor café before we get our tube trains home from Olympia or Holland Park stations.  

As we will be walking in the open air, it is within the Covid-19 rules to walk as a group with sensible social distancing. 

Please remember to bring a Covid-19 protection mask with you to wear at the cafe and for travel on public transport to/from the walk.  

Please bring drinking water, a Covid-19 protective mask, snacks, drinks and money for lunch.  

Please dress for the weather on the day.
