Ramble: Wentworth Castle Ramble : Yorkshire

This event is no longer available.

This ramble is a follow on from the walk in the Autumn around the follies of Wentworth Woodhouse. We will look at some of the follies in the park as well as some remains of the furnace at Rockley. The walk will start at Worsbrough Mill country park with a stroll along the reservoir before crossing under the M1 to make our way to Stainborough park. Unfortunately the cafe and gardens are closed at present so we shall have to eat our picnic by one of the follies. A stop at a local pub will follow before we make use of the Transpennine Trail to get us back to the car park. If we get back in time we may be able to call in the cafe at the end.

Grade: 3-4; Distance: 7-8 miles
