Overview

This is a 10 mile round trip with some steep climbs and descents. There is about 600m of climbing in three parts. The route will reward those taking part with outstanding views and some elevated ridge walking. Caer Caradoc is an enigmatic large hill with the earthwork remains of a hill fort on the top that dates from around 500BC. The route starts flat along a pavement to Little Stretton where there are some lovely Tudor buildings before crossing the A49 and heading straight up Ragleth Hill. It then heads through undulating countryside to Caer Caradoc. We will finish in Church Stretton where there are several cafes and pubs in which to recover.
