Plymouth Social Weekend
Overview
A new weekend with Steve Dell in the historic and nautical city of Plymouth, described as Britain’s Ocean City. Plymouth is a vibrant waterfront city packed full of attractions. There are a myriad of fabulous eating and drinking places, from city centre to harbourside and lots of history and culture.
The itinerary will include attractions such as Plymouth Hoe, the historical Mayflower Steps, National Marine Aquarium, various marinas, several boat trips, Mayflower Museum to name a few.
Plymouth is home to The Barbican, which is a beautiful old port, full of narrow cobbled streets, Elizabethan warehouses, specialist shops, art galleries, cafes and restaurants, and it also has great night life!
The weekend is designed to be flexible and relaxed - over the weekend there will be several coordinated activities and visits to Plymouth’s many attractions (see below). You can either do all of these activities or dip in and out as you please, you may want to go to other attractions in smaller groups or you may want to do some shopping! There will be group meals on the Friday and Saturday evenings.
We stay in a the lovely 4* Crowne Plaza hotel near Plymouth Hoe and a short walk to the harbour. The hotel gets a great 4 out of 5 rating on trip adviser and is superbly located. Its walking distance from Plymouth railway station (or a short taxi ride with luggage).
The weekend starts…
