What better way to spend a Saturday evening in late summer than on a Pirate Party Cruise? With a BBQ and welcome drink and the opportunity to purchase more drinks and dance the night away. Our transport, Dorset Queen is a 1938 vintage motor yacht, a former volunteer boat at the 1940 Dunkirk rescue missions and a proud member of The UK Historic Ships Register.

We are limiting the number of tickets available to 60 so it is a comfortable place to eat, drink, and dance. We like to have a bit of a theme, and for this event, we are going with Pirates, the captain says he will fly Pirate flags for us I look forward to seeing all your efforts.
Update 25th August 2023. Sadly we did not make the minimum number required for a private boat, so there will be members of the public present. However the captain is still very happy for us to follow our pirate themed fancy dress. I look forward to seeing you!

I have booked a small number of rooms at the Holiday Inn Poole, but you can purchase tickets to the party only and arrange your own travel and accomodation. If you are looking for accomodation in the area, I would suggest you look immediately. There are a few hotels and you could also look at hotels in Bournemouth which is about 7 miles away then get a taxi to and from the event. There seem to be plenty of B&Bs and hotels of all prices within a reasonable distance of the embarkation point (BH15 1RZ)
Cheapest option I have found is TRAVELODGE POOLE which is about 15 minutes drive, but if a few of you were staying you could book taxis.
Location & Itinerary
6:50pm - Guests to board Dorset Queen at Poole Quay to Welcome Prosecco
7pm - Depart Poole Quay and cruise past the new Port of Poole
7:10pm - Cruise around the back of Poole Harbour's five islands
7:30pm - Onboard BBQ served
8pm - Sweep past Brownsea Castle
8:10pm - Pass Millionaires Row - Sandbanks
8:15pm - Cruise out to Jurassic Coast - Old Harry's Rock (calm winds permitting)
8:45pm - Cruise into Swanage Bay
9pm - Disco Lights On
9:15pm - Cruise back towards Poole Harbour
10pm - Disembark at Poole Quay

Travel & Stay
If you select the accomodation option, you will be in the Holiday Inn Express with breakfast and parking included. It's a 20 minute walk from the Quay where we will be joining our Pirate Party Cruise.
