Event going ahead: From the 29th March we are allowed to run outdoor activities. See the Before You Go section for more details.

Second Group: This is the second group being led by Karen Fletcher which will follow a short distance from Mick’s group. If the first group is full there may be space on the second group.

Starting with a walk to St Michael and All Angels church where lies Little John, following up the valley with fine views to join the road to Upper Burbage.

We then follow the footpath onto Stanage Edge and follow the edge to descend past the Buck Stone onto the road.

Then we join Hurstclough Lane and then a bridleway past Nether Hurst, descending past the Tower and the Hill to the outskirts of Hathersage.

We cross the railway to the river and the Derwent Valley Heritage Way and follow the river to cross the stepping stones and then the river path to Leadmill Bridge, which we cross to follow a footpath back to the start.

Leader: Mick Cornfield

Distance: 9.5 miles
