This event is no longer available.

Starting from the pretty village of Ashford in the Water, famous for the sheep wash bridge, we follow the river passing the sough from the Lathkill dale mines and the old Bobbin mill to Monsal dale.

From there we follow the river to pass the weir and on to the Monsal Viaduct where we climb steadily to Monsal Head with views of the famous viaduct and Dale.

we then descend first to skirt the top of the dale then to follow footpaths across farmland back to the village.
