Peak District Luxury Spa Lodges Walking and Social Weekend

Overview: Join Steve & Arlene on a Peak District Luxury Spa Lodge walking and social weekend. This is a new type of weekend so we had to stay there to test it out! 

Rather than the usual hotel based weekend we have booked some luxury spa lodges to make a change. The lodges have are fitted to a high standard, they are modern with one double with ensuite shower and two twin rooms. There is a bath and shower a fully fitted kitchen and a lovely lounge. And each lodge has its own hot tub! 

The lodges are at Landal Sandybrook Holiday Park set in the former grounds of a 19th century manor house close to the picturesque market town of Ashbourne. It gets fantastic reviews and it’s a relatively small park so not overrun with crowds. 

Sandybrook is close to the Tissington Trail, Dovedale, Ilam and the lovely market towns of Ashbourne and a little further is Buxton, all wonderful parts of the Peak District. There are plenty of walks and touristy opportunities. 

On site there is also an indoor heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna for you to enjoy and relax in after a day’s walking. 

Accommodation: We will stay in 3 bedroom luxury spa lodges with a relaxing outdoor hot tub. All the accommodation is non-smoking. Wi-Fi, bed linen, duvets and towels are provided. Please let us know if you want to room share with or be in the same lodge with anyone in particular. 

Single rooms: Please note that due to the nature of the accommodation there are very limited single occupancy rooms available. 

The walking programme: Walks in the area includes Dovedale, Thorpe, Tissington. They will be around 7 to 8 miles each day leaving time to explore or make the most of the hot tubs. 

Social activities: Ilam Hall, Tissington Hall & village and the lovely market towns of Ashbourne, and a little further is Buxton, all wonderful parts of the Peak District. 

The social après walking: Dinner for Friday and Saturday evenings will be at the Coach House which is a pub on site. On Friday after dinner Steve will do a welcome chat and go through the plans for the weekend. 

On the Sunday late afternoon, after the walk, we can eat as a group at a nearby pub (a short drive away) which also does lovely food. Afterwards we can retire to our hot tubs or the onsite pub.
