Great news!

The government guidelines have been updated and we can now increase numbers of walks!

We have therefore increased the numbers on our walks and will monitor how it works with higher numbers.

Importantly, we still have to social distance on the walks.

Join Phil Davies for a 7.5 mile walk from Painswick.

Phil a Spice member has kindly offered to lead some walks in the Worcestershire and surrounding area.

Walk details: A beautiful walk from the lovely village of Painswick in the gorgeous Cotswold countryside. This is a 7.5 mile moderate to hard walk due to the fact there is over 1000ft of ascent, compensated by some spectacular views of the Malverns to the north, Brendon hill to the east and the Severn estuary to the west.

There are toilets available at the start / finish in the car park. The car park charges are currently suspended due to the corona virus. (May be liable to change) Dogs on a lead welcome dur to livestock

Before You Go

Is it safe? If we follow government guidelines by maintaining social distancing and keeping numbers within recommended limits the risks are low. We will carefully choose the walks in terms of routes and start locations. We want to avoid places which are already busy, such as country parks for obvious reasons. We will be discussing the ‘rules’ with each walk leader to make sure that they are our members are kept safe and avoid risks as much as possible.

Food: At present, we can’t go to the pub afterwards for a drink or lunch, so the plan will be to choose walks that lend themselves to picnics, either part way round the walk or at the end.
