Join us for a sociable Bar Tour in The Northern Quarter. Whether new to Spice or an old hand you will be made very welcome.

The bars chosen have been picked for their ambience and ales!

Northern Monk Refectory - Serving real ale with 4 cask and 18 keg lines. The 4 cask ales served from handpumps are predominately Northern Monk beers with some classic outstanding guest ales as well as the usual tipple.

Port St Beer House - Amazing range of real/craft ales and offers a lot of the latest/rarer offerings from the top craft breweries plus many more drink choices.

The Crafty Pig - an illustrious new haunt - Crafty Pig has set up its squealing farm in the heart of the Northern Quarter. With a wide range of crafty brews this oinker also has big beers, wild cocktails, etc.

Pie & Ale - established in 2013 by a husband and wife team, Pie & Ale is a hidden gem within the Northern Quarter. Not just serving delicious home-made pies and a vast selection of cask ales, there is so much more to discover from cocktails and spirits. There is the option to order food on our reserved tables to try out the fabulous pies!

PLEASE NOTE: if you are new to Spice or this is your first bar tour you might want to arrive a little after 3.15pm at which time our friendly host Tanya will be there to greet you

Mexican Bean Chilli (VG) - Onion, peppers, smoked chipotle paste, Mexican oregano, tomato, paprika, coriander, cumin, coffee and dark chocolate.

Chester Social Weekend at the Bunkroom

We were due to make our first visit to this highly rated private hostel in 2020 but of course our plans were curtailed as were so many others.
This event has now gone live for June 2022 and is 60% full already.

Conway Weekend set to kickstart our Christmas Programme

We are already looking forward to visiting the fabulous Conwy/Conway in North Wales on our forthcoming Spice Exclusive Hostel Weekend where we plan to kickstart out Christmas programme of events.
We have taken over the YHA and have lots of plans including a bit of festive crafting, carol singing, blue badge guided tours, secret Santa and of course dancing & eating with maybe a little bit of festive cheer too!
With 70 people already booked this great value weekend is bound to be a super event with your Spice friends.
