Meal - Rotating Dinner at Merchants
Overview
Tonight join us to enjoy a unique Spice Dines evening. At our rotating dinners we will move you between courses to new tables – thus meeting and mingling with other members as you go. It’s great fun and with great food too, this is the perfect Saturday evening dinner. Please book early as early bookings will almost certainly generate more and more bookings – the more who come along the better the rotations!
We return to the lovely Merchants restaurant, a favourite with Spice members. Everyone is welcome but this event is particularly great for new or returning members. If you come with a friend, beware, you may not sit together!

Smoked salmon, gravadlax & prawn gateau with tartare dressing
Filo pastry of haggis served with caramelised onions & a rick Drambuie cream
Roast quail set on a buttered cabbage cordoned with a bacon sauce
Baked pears stuffed with Dunsyre Blue glazed with a light blue cheese sauce
Mains
Succulent fillet of beef topped with wild mushrooms tossed in a whisky butter
Rack of Border lamb served with a fresh berry & Cassis redunction
Breast of Guinea fowl filled with Skirlie stuffing and served with a heather honey sauce
Fillet of halibut served with a griddled crayfish & a chive cream sauce
Wild mushroom risotto served with white truffle oil & Parmesan shavings
