Linda's Walk: Chiswick to Richmond 8 Mile Walk & Richmond Museum Visit
Overview
Please meet in Station Approach Road by the platform exit of Chiswick railway station (NOT at the front of the station) at 0950, ready to depart at 10:00.
We will walk via the yacht basin and alongside the Thames, Brent Waters and Syon Park to The London Apprentice pub in Old Isleworth where we'll have a 12:45hrs pub lunch (at your own expense).
After lunch we'll walk by the Thames to Richmond Lock and it's bridge, past the obelisks marking the original Meridian Line and on to Richmond. We'll visit the remains of the Royal, Richmond Palace and it's current homes en-route to the Museum of Richmond for a visit.
You might like to end the day by treating yourself to a cup of tea before we get our trains home from Richmond station.
Please dress for the weather on the day.
Please bring drinking water, a Covid-19 protective mask, money for a pub lunch and any other drinks or snacks you may want. Plus an umbrella if it is due to rain! Please do not attend if you or anyone in your household has any COVID-19 symptoms.
