Linda's Camden to Limehouse 7 Mile Walk and London Blitz Pub Survivor
Overview
Please meet outside The Ice Wharf Wetherspoons by Camden Lock, at 09:50, ready to depart at 10:00. Arrive early if you fancy a coffee or breakfast before the walk.
We will walk via the Grand Union Canal path, admiring the various canal boats and barges, en-route to a pub/cafe lunch stop at Haggerston (at your own expense).
We'll then walk on to a pub beside the canal, which was the only building in this area to survive a wartime blitz bombing.
You might like to end the day by treating yourself to a cup of tea in a local café before we get our trains home.
Continuing alongside the canal, we will walk on to Limehouse Basin where you might like to treat yourself to a cup of tea before we catch our trains home.
Please bring drinking water, a Covid-19 protective mask, money for lunch and any other drinks or snacks you may want. Plus an umbrella if it is due to rain!
Please dress for the weather on the day.
Your walk leader is Linda Richardson. Please do not attend if you have tested positive for or have symptoms of Covid-19.
