Lichfield Canals Ramble

On our walks around Lichfield with Rob, we often walk parts of the Lichfield and Hatherton canal which is under restoration.

Recently there been some new sections and this brand new 7-mile ramble give us chance to explore these new sections.

Starting in Lichfield we head through the City Centre and us towards darn ford where we pick up the route.

We then follow the canal past several restored sections before reaching London Road where a brand new link road and canal section has been built, we head along the side of the new Lichfield bypass before reaching the new Lichfield canal basin.

This is a really interesting ramble, if the distance is a little to far there are various points where you can return to the start. There is also some very interesting architecture which Rob will point out along the Way.
