Kinver Edge Moderate Ramble
Overview
Event going ahead: Please be assured that this event can go ahead, From the 29th March we can have groups of 6 on outdoor activities.
Two Groups: This ramble will be led in two groups; one with Rob and the other with Pete Corbett. They will keep a safe distance apart.
Join Rob Smith for a 7 mile Moderate Ramble from Kinver Edge.
This is an extended and revised ramble in the lovely area of Kinver Edge with its spectacular views and pretty woods.
There are a couple of gradients but as usual we will take our time. We start by walking to the cave houses at Holy Austin Rock. Then to the top of Kinver edge. Once at the top we walk along the edge following the Staffordshire Way and through woodland in Kingsford County Park to the hamlet of Drakelow.
The return passes by the remains of an old fort, returns to a different part of Kingsford County Park and finally quiet lanes back to Kinver.
Location & Itinerary
We will stop mid ramble to allow you to enjoy any packed lunch and if weather permits Rob will book a table at a local pub for Sunday lunch
