Huddersfield Bank Holiday Drinks and Meal
Overview
Come and join Karen for this bank holiday Saturday starting at the Slug and Lettuce at 2.30pm. Later in the afternoon we will adjourn to Primo (10 Viaduct Street, HD1 5DL) for a 2 course meal to help soak up some of those beverages. The table is booked for 5.30pm.

STARTERS
Soup of the day
Pollo in salsa agrodolce – breaded chicken in a spicy barbecue sauce, served with crisp lettuce leaves and sweet chilli dip
Bruschetta (V) – homemade Italian herb bread, flavoured with garlic, fresh tomatoes, red onion, oregano and virgin olive oil
Mozzarella (V) – deep fried mozzarella coated in breadcrumbs, served with tomatoes and basil salsa
Ribs – barbecued ribs baked with oriental spices
Prawn cocktail – chilled prawns in mayonnaise, cocktail sauce served on a bed of crisp lettuce
Polpette – meatballs cooked in a rich tomato sauce and served with a touch of chilli
Melon Victoria (VE) – galleon melon served with a strawberry coulis
Garlic mushrooms (V)
Homemade chicken liver pate – smooth chicken liver pate flamed with brandy and port, served with orange and cranberry confit and toast
Calamari – deep fried squid served with a garlic mayo
MAINS
All mains are served with either chips or vegetables. Please state your preference.
Pizza rustica (V) – tomato, mozzarella, aubergine, courgette, mushrooms, onions and peppers
Pizza vesuvio – tomato, mozzarella, spice Italian sausage and jalapeno peppers
Spaghetti Bolognese
Lasagne al forno – layers of pasta, minced beef, tomato and cheese sauce
Cannelloni (V) – cannelloni pasta tubes filled with spinach, ricotta cheese and nutmeg served with a rich tomato sauce
Penne arrabiata – penne pasta with spice Italian sausage, chillies, red onion, garlic, tomato sauce finished with fresh herbs
Pollo diavola – pan fried chicken breast served with Napoli sauce and fresh chilli
Petto di pollo funghetto – pan fried chicken breast in creamy mushrooms, white wine with a touch of garlic and grain mustard
Pollo Cacciatora – chicken breast, sliced red onions, mushrooms, olives and white wine in a light Napoli sauce
Pollo Milanese – chicken strips coated in breadcrumbs, slow cooked in the oven. Served on penne pasta in rich tomato sauce.
Cod alla pizzaiola – cod fillet in a rich tomato sauce with garlic, capers, cherry tomatoes and fresh basil
Rump steak served with a sauce. Choose peppercorn sauce or diane sauce. Please state how you would like it cooked
